Founder/President/Showgirl

Showgirl Legacy Foundation

Lou Anne Chessik arrived in Las Vegas more than 45 years ago to begin her career as a dancer in the city’s legendary stage show spectaculars. She performed on some of the largest showroom stages in the world, dancing with casts of more than 100 singers, dancers, and iconic feathered showgirls. Her stories capture the golden era of Las Vegas when these spectacular productions ruled the strip for over five decades.

Lou Anne is the Founder and President of the Showgirl Legacy Foundation that exists to preserve, protect, and celebrate the history of the Las Vegas Showgirl. Through educational programs, art initiatives, and community partnerships, we ensure that the artistry, athleticism, and cultural impact of the iconic showgirl continue to inspire future generations.

Still active as an iconic showgirl, Lou Anne brings her experience and passion to audiences both onstage and off. She regularly appears as a guest speaker at schools, museums, conventions, luncheons, and other venues, sharing stories from one of the most glamorous eras in Las Vegas entertainment history. She is also the host of the weekly talk show “The Showgirl Connection” where she interviews past and present entertainers who have performed on the Las Vegas Strip.

I look forward to discussing possible opportunities with you,
